Dr. Sara Lewis
Dr. Sara Lewis is originally from Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama for undergraduate studies (ROLL TIDE!), then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine summa cum laude from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.

She moved to the Wilmington area after graduation to be with her husband Jon while he was stationed at Camp LeJeune. They settled in the area and she spent many years working in a busy small animal general practice, where she formed special relationships with her patients and clients, and developed a passion for urgent medicine and soft tissue surgery. She takes pride in being a strong communicator and leader for her team. She also has four beautiful children, who keep her very busy! In her free time (what's that?), she enjoys baking, working out, and spending time at the beach with her family at their condo on Topsail island.
During her time in Wilmington, she has witnessed first hand the growth in the coastal NC area, along with the need for same day veterinary care and more urgent care options for pet owners in the area. When the time was right, she decided to continuing doing what she loves and provide a much needed service to the veterinary community in building VET CROSS.
Cass
Hospital Manager
Cass is a 'jack of all trades' kind of gal! She is frequently shifting around the hospital and pitching in wherever there may be a need. She especially enjoys taking care of clients to help them feel heard and supported throughout a veterinary visit.
Alli
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Alli is an experienced veterinary technician and an invaluable member of the Vet Cross team! She spends a lot of time helping with more critical cases and prepping, monitoring, and recovering surgical patients. You know your pet is in good hands under her care! Alli has a special affection for Shih tzus, music, photography, and her turtle Nadya!
Mandy
Veterinary Assistant
Mandy has been working as a Veterinary Assistant in the Wilmington area for 15 years, and she truly loves helping pets and their people feel cared for and comfortable. Having lived here most of her life, Wilmington feels like home. She enjoys raising her two girls with her husband and their two dogs, Blu and Rose. She has a soft spot for boxers and when she's not at the clinic, you can usually find her on her patio with a good cup of coffee in hand!
Siera
Veterinary Assistant
Siera is originally from Wichita, Kansas. She served as an Animal Care Specialist in the Army, stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, where she worked closely with military working dogs. Her experience also includes working at an animal shelter and veterinary clinic, providing her with a wide range of skills in animal care.
Siera has an associate’s degree in science from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas and has recently finished EMT school, which has further enhanced her ability to handle emergency situations. She’s passionate about providing top-notch care for animals, always with compassion and attention to detail.
When she's not working, Siera enjoys reading, weightlifting, being outdoors and spending time with her 5-year-old German Shepherd and her friends.
